At Cup Coffee Roasters, we believe that a great cup of coffee tells a story: about the land it came from, the hands that grew it, and the values that brought it to your door. We're a small-batch roastery based in Portland, Oregon, and we're on a mission to make every sip count.

Where We Started

Cup Coffee Roasters was born from a simple conviction: that specialty coffee should do more than taste good. It should create real, lasting change for the people who grow it. We set out to source directly from producers who are doing extraordinary work, often against extraordinary odds, and to share their stories with every bag we ship.

Our Mission: Closing the Gap

Women make up nearly 70% of the labor force in coffee farming worldwide, yet own only 20–30% of the farms. That gap, in ownership, income, and recognition, is something we're committed to helping close.

That's why we partner with producers like the women of La Morena in Cubulco, Guatemala. These farmers are cultivating exceptional coffee while building economic independence in their communities. When you buy La Morena, you're investing directly in their work and their future.

The Farms We Source From

We work with a small, carefully chosen group of producers who share our values:

• La Morena, Cubulco, Guatemala: A women-led cooperative where nearly 70% of the labor force are women working to gain greater ownership and recognition in the industry.
• Guji, Ethiopia: Smallholder farmers cultivating heirloom varieties passed down through generations, producing some of the most complex and vibrant coffees in the world.
• Finca Las Flores, Colombia: Jhoan Vergara and his family carry on a 30-year farming tradition, using advanced anaerobic fermentation techniques to craft coffees with remarkable depth and character.

Roasted Fresh in Portland

Every bag of Cup Coffee is roasted fresh at our Portland facility. We roast once a week, every Monday, and ship every Tuesday, so what arrives at your door is as fresh as it gets. No sitting in a warehouse. No guessing when it was roasted. Just coffee at its peak.
